Bonners Ferry Pupuseria & American Diner Restaurant + Fine Cigars

Met Jay as we rode in to town, he very graciously recommended lodging and offered food. We assured him we would return once we settled. By the time we got back it was almost closing time and still he and his wife were happy to see us. I was able to practice my Spanish, enjoy food I hadn’t had since childhood, and finish the night with a cigar and frisbee. Unforgettable

This is a lovely quaint little eatery. The owners are wonderfully knowledgeable. The food is tantalizing for every taste bud you want to please. I love the cultural dishes and atmosphere. Will definatly be coming back.

We three had a late lunch there. So much fun. Great service; cozy, clean space; chatty owners; photos from their life story adorn the walls. The guacamole was the best in the US. The pupusas are handmade with care, and interesting; the cabbage slaw for piling on top was welcome, as was the salsa (though it would've been great if it were spicier). We were told most folks eat two pupusas, but one would've been plenty. They serve bottles of beer in frosty cold mugs. A great place!
